Pre/Post Tan Care
To prepare for your spray tanning appointment, you will want to start by shaving and exfoliating your skin 24 hours prior to your appointment. For best results, be sure to exfoliate all prior self tanning products or spray tan off. Ensure your skin is moisturized and you are staying hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment and continue to do so after your spray tan! All other beauty services such as eye lash extensions, botox or fillers, waxing, henna/tinting, facials, etc should be done prior to your appointment, and skin should be healed. If you have received any tattoos recently, you will need your skin to be fully healed prior to spray tanning. Sunburnt skin cannot be spray tanned as the skin needs time to heal from the UV damage, healed sunburns can still show UV damage when spray tanning, it is best to let your artist know if you have any recent sunburns within the last 12 months.
While developing, you'll want to avoid sweating and water until the rinse time provided at your appointment. It is important to avoid moisture during the process for even results. When
you leave the salon you will first see the bronzer, the bronze may smudge as you move harshly or change clothes, be cautious in your movements and avoid skin to skin contact. After
your tan, continue to stay hydrated and moisturized. Excessive moisture build up due to sweating, laying in bodies of water, and exfoliating your skin within the duration of your tan can speed
the fading process. Spray tans can last 7-12 days based on pre/post care. Please feel free to reach out to Alexzandria with any questions!
